In 2024, Vietnam exported 250,600 tons of pepper, including 220,269 tons of black pepper and 30,331 tons of white pepper, generating 1.318 billion USD in revenue. Black pepper accounted for 1.118 billion USD, while white pepper contributed 200.6 million USD. Despite a 5.1% decline in volume from 2023, export revenue surged by 45.4%, with black pepper prices rising 49.7% to 5,154 USD/ton and white pepper up 38.9% to 6,884 USD/ton.
The United States remained the largest market, importing 72,311 tons (28.9% of exports), a 33.2% increase. Other key markets included the UAE (16,391 tons, +35.1%), Germany (14,580 tons, +58.2%), the Netherlands (10,745 tons, +35.2%), and India (10,617 tons, -17.1%). China saw a sharp decline, importing only 10,549 tons, down 82.4%.
